 CURRENT INJUCTION SOURCE:

(1). Transformer setup/ Motor setup

• One no. of 24/24V, 3Amp three phase delta-star transformer provided with secondary mid-point tapping.
• One no of 230/24V, 150VA isolation transformer
• Mid point provided for earth fault creation.
• One no. of rheostat provided for variation of short-circuits earth resistance.
• One no of Digital meter is used to read the earth fault circuit
• Start / Stop Switch is provided to operate the timer circuit and relay operation.
• One no of MCB is provided to switch on the units. Spec (3 pole, 6Amp)
• 3 no’s of LED to indicate the RYB phase indication
• Two no’s of Reset switch provided to reset the timer & cut breaker
• Relay ‘NO/NC’ contact terminated at banana sockets
• One no of illuminated rocker switch provided for power ON / OFF Indicator
• One no of CT used to sense the fault current.
• 5 HP (or) 1HP 3 phase Induction motor provided for Earth Fault Relay Operation.

EXPERIMENTS:

• Study and testing of Earth Fault relay with different current & time multiplier.
• Measurement of relay tripping time.
