This Setup Consists of the Following

  2. 1KW 3Φ 2 Level Voltage source Inverter
  3. 1HP 3PH AC induction motor

a) SP6 XC6SLX9 FPGA BOARD

 On-Board Features:

Programming & Memory section

  • Processor speed 20 MHZ.
  • 69 Individually Programmable GPIO Pins.
  • 4MB On board PROM for standalone program execution memory.
  • 8 output and 8 input lines with 5V Level.
  • Isolated serial communication interface through USB connector.
  • 4 position user DIP switch.
  • 8 user LEDs.
  • 2 no of input push switches.
  • 20×4 (or 16×2) LCD interface header.
  • External JTAG header for programming

Headers

  • 16 pin header for 5V level Output and 5V level Input.
  • 2 no’s of 26 pin and 1 no of 10 pin headers for GPIO line termination (53 Pins).
  • 10 pin External JTAG header for Programming
  • 5V adapter connector for power supply (+5V, GND)
  • 20 pins header used to interface 20×4 LCD or 16×2 LCD.
  • Sine PWM technique used to control the speed of the induction motor.

  • 6 Numbers of SKYPER32 R – isolated driver provided for PWM isolation and driving
  • Over load and short circuit protection available
  • 6 no’s. of SEMIKRON IGBT Rating @600V / 75A Used.
  • Each leg having 2 IGBT modules. 3 legs form 3 phase Inverter Power Circuit.
  • 4 no’s Hall Effect current sensor provided for output current & DC link current measurement &protection
  • Op-amp signal conditioner circuit provided for current sensors & output terminated in front panel for current wave measurement.
  • Over current Trip circuit provided for over load protection.
  • One number of LED provided to indicate TRIP Status
  • One number of Reset Switch provided to reset the Trip Function
  • Test points provided in control section for wave form measurement in CRO
  • Regenerative /dynamic braking can be done

  • Load :           Spring balance load setup with Dial indicator.
  • Feed back :           Proximity sensor used to sense the speed of the motor.
